Linking Data & Providers with SecurePass
Maintaining patient privacy and avoiding duplicate medical records doesn’t have to be an impossible task. It might feel like it… that doesn’t have to be the case.
“When it comes down to it, it’s all about linking the data between the provider and the patient,” DHS Group VP of Employer Solutions Rich Siegenthaler said.
Take Hardin Memorial Hospital for example. Hardin had an older, failing check-in system that was at the point where it just couldn’t be fixed. As a growing and expanding health center, the check-in system was causing problems – not to mention issues with patient privacy and duplicated medical records – and Hardin was looking for a replacement.
SecurePass by DHS Group was there to help provide that needed link. It’s biometric fingerprint scanning and check-in systems brought a system that was quick, easy-to-use and most importantly, secure.
“[SecurePass] has worked great in a very busy outpatient setting,” Daphne Jacquet, Hardin Health Patient Access Manager, said. “We’re looking to implement in other areas of the hospital where registration is done.”
With the new system in place that linked the patient to the data to the provider, Hardin was able to lessen their worry of duplicate medical records while also maintaining a high level of privacy for both the patient and the providers from start of service until the end.
“When the link is there,” Siegenthaler said. “Instead of forgotten about, action happens, and what previously may have felt impossible, can happen.”
