DHS Staff: A Week's Worth of Holiday Snacks
Back at the beginning of the month, we shared how several of DHS Group’s staff members like to stay active during the holiday season to maintain their spot on the company’s Move challenge leaderboard.
Today, we’re revisiting the team to find out a few of their favorite “healthier” holiday snacks, treats and recipes. With a week’s worth listed below, you’ll have plenty to try as you head into the upcoming holiday weekend and toward the New Year!
Sarah Kirk’s (Customer Success Team) Pumpkin Fluff
1. Using a mixer, blend 15 oz. pumpkin, 2 teaspoons of pumpkin spice, ½ c. of skim milk and 1 (3 ½ oz.) package of fat-free, sugar-free instant vanilla pudding mix
2. Fold in 8 oz. of thawed Cool Whip Free
3. Serve with ginger snaps or cinnamon graham crackers!
Maureen B. and Leslie G. (Customer Success) and Daryl Scott (Business Development) all like hitting the veggie trays at holiday parties. Maureen’s favorite? A veggie tray that is festively shaped!
A team favorite!
“I recently discovered overnight oatmeal! It’s a quick and healthy breakfast (or snack) to have on-hand to power holiday hikes and activities.”
“I make some mean turkey enchiladas with green chili sauce from all the turkey leftovers!”
“I like to find recipes that are healthier versions of old family favorites and I’ve found that most of the time, my family can’t even tell the difference! Three of my favorites (that are definitely perfect for the holiday season) lately have been Shepherd’s Pie, Chicken Pot Pie and Sweet Potato Pie.”
“I like to drink carbonated water and find wherever the celery and cheese are on the appetizer or buffet spreads!”
As we wish you a very merry holiday season, we’re looking ahead to an exciting 2017!
